Resumen biográfico

I am a morning person even on Sundays. I wake up early in the morning to take a hot shower, and make the most important decision of the day, which is a careful selection of clothes that need to be washed for the next week. That does not mean I am a slob. I just mix the whites with darks to just get it done. I off course iron all the clothes after drying is complete. Wait! Did I say all the clothes? I am sorry! I just iron my shirts & pants which I wear to work. Relaxing takes a back seat to the following week. I have a new hobby, gardening. I feel I need something relaxing to do when I get home and during the snapshot of idle time on the weekends. I am planning to get my house in order and maintenance items that are long overdue. The gutters need to be cleaned, but who wants to get on a ladder and risk getting hurt, so I just put it on the back burner for another week. The grass needs to bet cut, the garden needs to be weeded, power washing will be after that. The list goes on… The daunting task of priority along with items I can not ignore seem to pile up. This leaves not time for the zen I need to reboot for the work week. I do realize that some extra help in my personal life is needed, or I just continue to the cycle of being a slave to my “To do List”. Ignoring the items that have to be done create anxiety, and doing them, not getting to my garden do too. At work I plan and assign activities for my coworkers, and things get done. At home I feel like there is no relief, so I can do the things that make me happy. I return to work on Monday and my coworkers are always talking about the fun things they did on the weekends. Where to they get the time and how do I end this cycle? The first thing I will do is create a list of items that need to be done a on a weekly basis along with items that will be coming up in the near future. Then, I will delegate the task out to service professionals in my area, so I can get to gardening and other activities I want to do. So, I guess I will start with a google search or ask my friends on Facebook or Nextdoor if they know anyone to get the items done. Then starts the process of allocating pricing and coordinating when they can get it done. Luckily one of my Facebook friends suggested RDUcontractors.com . RDUcontractors.com has pre priced projects and the service professionals share their availability, so I can schedule the task to be done when I want. Next weekend my gutters will be cleaned and the yard will be cleaned up. I hired a technician to weed the garden by the hour so I could control the budget. I also have a cleaning person coming to get the house cleaned an laundry done on Friday, so I can enjoy a clean house on the weekend. Last, I scheduled a plumbing repair that was long overdue. I had a toilet that was “running” every few minutes. After doing some research I realized it was cheaper to pay to have it fixed than paying for an elevated water bill, not to mention the environmental benefit of saving water resources. Two weeks from now I have real plans to start my garden which is great timing for the beginning of Spring that is right around the corner.
