Police believe the break-in was related to a haul of stolen steroids. They allege that Brindle and Cheal organised and had knowledge of the home invasion before it happened.

Brindle allegedly sold almost 9kg worth of steroids out of his home between May 2018 and January 2020.  He also allegedly supplied cocaine and MDMA.

However Mr Sabbagh's request to have the application heard later in the day was denied by Magistrate Brett Shields.

Brindle and Cheal were only able to attend court via video link.
