Tricks on Feeding Your Child

por Ivan Farnell (2022-02-03)

Children in general are hard to feed. Most kids tend to be choosy and stubborn during meal time.
Your kid will do every trick in the book so he will not eat that green bland broccoli. He will hide, run, pretends his mouth is full or even fake vomit. If you'll not be able to feed him with a well balanced meal, your child will not be able to get the nutrients that he needs.

The most popular technique of moms in feeding their picky kid is sneaking in vegetables in their child's meals.

You can add purred vegetables in tomato sauce. Some even include veggies in sweets like brownies, cookies and cakes. Others put mix cheese and other tasty sauces on vegetables. Recipe books are available for this specialty.

Experts believe that making your child involved in shopping and food preparation motivates him to eat.
Have your kid with you as you shop. Let him get the food from the stalls. Have your child watch you cook the meals. Make him wash the pans or plates you will use for serving the food. Of course, remember the rules of non toxic cleaning to keep your child safe.

Another trick is to make an artwork with your baby's food.

Use special cutters and cut out shapes in vegetables. Make a smiling food face on his plate.Do not force your child to eat if he doesn't feel like it. He will find the urge to eat on his own. However, do not let him have any snacks. If he feels hungry, he will come to the table on his own.
Also, experts also advise parents to serve their child with small amounts of food especially if you are introducing a new food to him.
Your kid will ask for more if he wants to. Serving him little amounts of food will help trigger the appetite for more.

Never bribe desserts just to make your child eat. This makes a child think that desserts are the best part of a meal. Thus, denying him desserts makes him desire for it further.

Choose healthier options for desserts like fruits and yogurts.

Last and most importantly, observe proper hygiene every mealtime. This goes out to the whole family. Always wash your hands with homemade non toxic all purpose cleaner toxic cleaners, soaps or sanitizers. Using organic products or environmentally friendly cleaning products eliminates the risk of ingesting harmful chemicals in conventional soaps as well as help in save the environment.
