por Jaunita Trujillo (2020-05-30)

The White House is getting an upgrade while President Donald Trump is on his 'working vacation' for most of August at his Bedminster property in New Jersey.

1600 Pennsylvania will be a construction zone for most of that time, with plans to put in a new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system in addition to renovations of the West Wing lower lobby, the IT system and the South Portico steps.

The Government Services Administration is overseeing the renovation work during the two-week project to update and repair the working area of the White House.

According to Walters, the South Portico steps on the South Lawn are also getting fixed, the first restoration in 64 years.
